Job Description
This full-time Inpatient Behavioral Health Therapist provides therapeutic support, care coordination, and advocacy for mental health patients.
Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapy groups, and providing individual and family therapy. Evaluates patient progress, adjusts care plans, and develops discharge plans involving patients and families. Participates in hospital committees, stays updated on mental health research, and mentors staff and community members. Requires a Master’s in social work, NYS Clinical Social Worker licensure, and preferably two years of inpatient psychiatric experience. Strong organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
