The Lead Physician for Rural Primary Care Services oversees high-quality healthcare delivery at rural sites, ensuring clinical guidelines, risk management, and provider supervision are maintained.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, supporting nurse practitioners and physician assistants, supervising clinical staff, conducting evaluations, and managing credentialing.
They collaborate with quality improvement teams, provide medical education, and develop rural health training programs.
Qualifications involve board-certified MD/DO with California licensure, experience in primary care, management skills, and familiarity with NCQA PCMH and Joint Commission standards.
