Job Description

The Licensed Addictions Counselor provides individual and group chemical dependency services in a therapeutic community setting.

  • Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and offers counseling on addiction, self-esteem, and related topics.
  • Makes referrals for aftercare and documents all sessions and progress.
  • Participates in family treatment meetings and staff meetings, providing reports as needed.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and CBT, and applies appropriate clinical procedures.
  • Maintains timely documentation, completes required training annually, and collaborates with the treatment team.
  • Works well under pressure, motivates residents, and is receptive to supervision and new ideas.
  • Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Montana licensure, and experience working with adult offenders; preferred experience in residential treatment.

  • This full-time position offers benefits, a flexible schedule, and requires relocation to Butte, MT. The role involves working in person, with some travel and documentation responsibilities. Pay ranges from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
