Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be an integral part of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive community care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals.

Work involves street outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, supporting daily living skills, offering counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.

Team follows a person-centered, harm reduction approach, supporting participants for months post-housing to ensure stability and independence.

This role requires fieldwork, flexible hours, periodic on-call coverage, and travel within three counties.

Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with MSW candidates considered if planning licensure.
