Job Description
The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
The multi-disciplinary team includes a leader, clinicians, care managers, and a peer specialist, utilizing the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model.
The role involves street outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare disparities.
The team supports participants post-housing to promote stability and independence, with fieldwork, on-call hours, and flexible scheduling required.

Minimum requirements include a master’s degree or higher in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with licensure or plans to obtain it. Travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties is expected.
Compensation ranges from $32.00 to $34.00 per hour, with full benefits and a requirement to relocate to Norwich, NY before starting.
