Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

The multidisciplinary team includes a leader, clinicians, care managers, and peer specialists, utilizing the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model.

The role involves community outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.

Following housing placement, the team continues support to ensure stability and independence. The position requires fieldwork, on-call availability, and flexible hours.

Qualifications include a master’s degree or higher in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with MSW candidates aiming for licensure and experience with homelessness. Travel across three counties is expected.
