Job Description
The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
Work involves community outreach, street-based engagement, coordinating needs before and after housing placement, and supporting daily living skills. Provide supportive counseling, advocate against discrimination and healthcare inequities, and promote person-centered, harm reduction, and flexible approaches. Follow participants post-housing to ensure stability and independence, with fieldwork, flexible hours, and periodic on-call duties. Requires a master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, nursing, or psychology; licensure preferred or in progress; travel within Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties required. Full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits, based in Norwich, NY, with relocation required before starting.
