Job Description

Seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time role in a correctional facility’s medical department in McElhattan, PA.

  • Conduct clinical assessments, including mental status exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans, and make psychiatry referrals when needed.
  • Perform risk assessments for inmates at risk of suicide or self-harm, following established protocols.
  • Serve as a mental health liaison and facilitate inmate admissions to forensic hospitals.
  • Monitor mental health services ensuring compliance with standards and participate in quality assurance.
  • Develop and deliver in-service education and prepare monthly performance reports.
