Job Description

The Substance Abuse Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy for clients with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders.

  • Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and facilitates therapeutic interventions.
  • Provides group, individual, and family therapy, documenting services accurately.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery and relapse prevention.
  • Supports discharge planning and ensures compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree, active licensure, and experience in addiction treatment. Skills in facilitation, documentation, crisis intervention, and teamwork are essential. The role involves working in various settings, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
