The Nurse Manager assumes 24/7 responsibility for nursing practice and operations in assigned areas, impacting departmental outcomes through policy implementation, evaluation, and collaboration.
Manages staff and resources to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient patient care. Participates in goal setting, monitors unit performance, and implements corrective actions. Advocates for patients and families, ensuring rights are respected and satisfaction is addressed. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, develops policies, and promotes quality improvement. Collaborates with leadership, staff, and other departments to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes. Oversees staffing, staff development, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Develops budgets, monitors resources, and manages financial and productivity reports. Maintains unit standards, safety, and documentation required for accreditation. Bachelor’s degree, RN license, and BLS certification required. Full-time position emphasizing leadership, quality care, and professional development.
