Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for a full-time, on-call position at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA.
Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency GI care to active-duty members, families, and retirees. Work Monday–Friday (0700–1630), with approximately 80 hours biweekly, plus on-call duties (two weeks/month, including weekends and holidays). Respond to calls promptly, document care in MHS GENESIS, and participate in quality assurance and training. Qualifications include an active U.S. medical license, ABIM certification or eligibility, DEA, NPI, BLS, and ACLS (or within 3 months). U.S. citizenship and compliance with facility immunization policies are required. Position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated fall start date.
