Job Description
The School Mental Health Therapist is a full-time role working in a supportive elementary school environment, following the school calendar with potential limited summer hours.
Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling to children and adolescents, collaborating with school staff and healthcare providers, delivering consultation and training, and coordinating mental health services. Accurate documentation and patient education are essential, along with making appropriate referrals.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in a behavioral/mental health field, active Michigan licensure (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP), CPR/BLS certification, and experience in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Preferred experience in Play Therapy and strong interpersonal skills are desired.
