Job Description
The _MSW/LMHC Therapist_ provides counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families, developing treatment and discharge plans, and offering crisis intervention as needed.
Collects patient data through interviews, tests, and observations to identify issues and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches or referrals. Manages a specialized caseload, conducts research and assessments, and prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, or discharge. Implements or arranges therapeutic interventions during crises, monitors treatment effectiveness, and recommends service modifications. Collaborates with legal and treatment agencies, other professionals, and paraprofessionals, referring clients to appropriate services. Participates in clinical reviews, policy development, and training sessions; may lead or supervise staff. May serve as a Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications include a Master’s degree (preferred), at least 1 year of social work experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferably bilingual in Spanish. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, with full-time, in-person work options during day or night shifts.
