Job Description

The Music Therapist provides evidence-based music interventions to support the emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being of patients in a psychiatric behavioral health setting.

They assess patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and facilitate both individual and group sessions using singing, instrument play, songwriting, and music listening.

The role involves documenting patient progress, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and adhering to ethical and licensing standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program, MT-BC certification, Washington State license (from January 2025), and at least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $45.00 per hour for 40 hours weekly.
