Job Description
The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) plays a leadership role in neonatal resuscitation, care planning, and management within a 24/7 NICU.
Provides direct clinical care, including newborn assessment, stabilization, resuscitation, and NICU admission, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Performs procedures such as intubation, line placements, and ventilator management.
Participates in quality improvement, education, transport support, and departmental committees.
Educates families and mentors staff, ensuring compliance with certification and licensing requirements.
Works rotating day and night shifts with no formal on-call duties, supporting a collaborative team culture.
Requires minimum two years of neonatal ICU experience, appropriate licensure/certifications, and proficiency with EMR systems.
