Job Description
The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) role involves leading neonatal resuscitations, developing care plans for NICU patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Work includes 24/7 coverage with 12- or 24-hour shifts, primarily at Bend NICU, with no formal call duties.
Key clinical duties encompass newborn assessment, resuscitation, admissions, treatments, and transfers, along with family communication and participation in telemedicine support.
Non-clinical activities involve quality improvement projects, staff education, outreach, and committee participation.
Qualifications include at least two years of NICU experience, appropriate licensure/certification, and proficiency in neonatal procedures and EMR systems.
Physical demands involve standing, walking, lifting, and other mobility requirements.
