Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Nephrologist to provide on-site Veteran care at a VA Medical Center. The role includes weekly outpatient clinics and on-call coverage as needed.
Deliver comprehensive consultative care for conditions like AKI, CKD, ESKD, fluid/electrolyte disorders, hypertension, nephrolithiasis, and kidney transplant management.
Oversee kidney replacement therapies and evaluate extracorporeal treatments for poisonings.
Provide bedside and clinic care, document in electronic health records, and participate in quality and safety processes.
Must be available by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes for on-call duties, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications include MD/DO, Board Certification/Eligibility in Nephrology, active unrestricted license, BLS or ACLS certification, and VA credentialing eligibility.
