Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Nephrologist to provide on-site care for Veterans at a VA Medical Center, including weekly outpatient clinics and on-call coverage.
Key responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nephrology consults in inpatient and outpatient settings, managing conditions such as AKI, CKD, ESKD, fluid/electrolyte disorders, hypertension, nephrolithiasis, and transplant patients, as well as evaluating extracorporeal treatments. The provider will oversee kidney replacement therapies, perform bedside consults, document in the electronic health record, and participate in quality and safety processes.
On-call duties require availability by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes, with coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications include MD/DO with accredited training, Board Certification or Eligibility in Nephrology, active unrestricted medical license, BLS or ACLS, and eligibility for VA credentialing.
