Job Description
The Advance Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive reproductive healthcare at a family planning center, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and management.
Implements clinic policies and procedures, ensuring compliance. Obtains client histories, offers counseling, and conducts screenings and tests. Reviews lab results, interprets findings, and follows up appropriately. Orders Pap smears and prescribes contraceptives and medications per guidelines. Provides reproductive health and sexuality counseling, referring clients when needed. Documents all care accurately and assists in policy development. Follows Illinois laws on reporting abuse, violence, and human trafficking. Works in collaboration with the Medical Director under a practice agreement. The role offers full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with competitive salary and benefits, requiring Illinois licensure and in-person work in Danville, IL.
