Job Description
The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology provides patient-centered care under physician supervision, focusing on evaluating, diagnosing, and managing gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines. Prescribe medications and therapies, educate patients on disease management, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical and legal standards. Requires a Master’s in Nursing, active Texas NP license, national certification, and at least 1 year of experience, preferably in gastroenterology. Work schedule is 2 days/week, on-site, with possible additional shifts; physical ability to perform clinical duties is essential. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality care, teamwork, professionalism, and clinical efficiency in a supportive environment.
