Job Description

Seeking an Illinois-licensed Nurse Practitioner for our Oncology practice in Decatur, IL, primarily working in the clinic with occasional travel to other locations.

Summary: Under physician supervision, the NP provides primary care, performs medical services, and collaborates within the hematology/oncology team.

Responsibilities include: obtaining patient histories, conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostics, assisting with procedures, administering medications, providing patient education, triaging calls, managing acute/minor illnesses, participating in research and quality initiatives, and supporting patient care continuity.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited NP program, Illinois licensure, CPR certification, EPIC training, and adherence to state guidelines. Knowledge of assisting processes, patient confidentiality, and working with complex and immunosuppressed patients is essential.

Physical and mental demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, work under stress, and adapt to changing conditions. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and chemotherapeutic agents is possible.
