Job Description
We are hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide healthcare in a correctional setting in Waterloo, IA, overseeing all aspects of inmate care.
As a correctional NP, you will
conduct exams, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients manage acute and chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes administer medications, respond to emergencies, and provide patient education work closely with correctional staff to ensure safety and security maintain accurate medical records and evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment admit and discharge patients as needed**Qualifications:**
Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing, current Iowa licensure, DEA registration Board certification, BLS/CPR, collaborative agreement with onsite physician Ability to work independently, good communication, and physical capability to perform demanding tasks**Benefits:**
