Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care in a community health setting, under medical director supervision.
Qualifications include current NP certification, Iowa licensure, family practice or primary care board certification, and CPR/BCLS. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and experience with underserved populations are preferred. The role involves conducting health assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and performing minor procedures.
Supervises staff, collaborates with healthcare providers, participates in protocol development, and shares after-hours call duties.
Maintains timely documentation, engages in ongoing education, quality improvement, and meets productivity standards.
Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and visual acuity; work environment features minimal to moderate noise and exposure to health hazards.
