Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care in a community health setting, under medical director supervision.

  • Qualifications include current NP certification, Iowa licensure, family practice or primary care board certification, and CPR/BCLS. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and experience with underserved populations are preferred.
  • The role involves conducting health assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and performing minor procedures.
  • Supervises staff, collaborates with healthcare providers, participates in protocol development, and shares after-hours call duties.
  • Maintains timely documentation, engages in ongoing education, quality improvement, and meets productivity standards.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and visual acuity; work environment features minimal to moderate noise and exposure to health hazards.
