Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care in a community health setting under medical director supervision.
Requires current NP certification, Iowa licensure, and board certification in family practice or primary care. Minimum two years’ experience with underserved populations preferred; bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable. Performs health assessments, manages acute and chronic conditions, conducts health education, and performs minor procedures. Collaborates with healthcare team, refers complex cases, and participates in protocol development and quality improvement. Provides after-hours call, maintains documentation, and engages in ongoing education and staff meetings. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting patients, and working in a moderate noise environment; reasonable accommodations available.
