Job Description

This full-time position involves practicing medicine under physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions.
Within the physician–APP relationship, the APP exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services across primary care areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and surgery.
The role includes responsibilities for patient care, education, research, and administrative tasks. The Hospitalist APP collaborates with hospitalist physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, managing acutely ill hospitalized patients virtually—covering admission, inpatient management, care coordination, and discharge planning.
Required knowledge encompasses medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical assessment techniques.
Skills include data analysis, patient evaluation, and care plan development.
Abilities involve understanding complex medical information, making independent decisions, collaborating effectively, and educating patients and staff.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, completion of an accredited PA or APRN program, and preferred inpatient or critical care experience.
