This full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in Hickory, IA, involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care in an acute hospital setting.
The provider conducts physical exams, initial assessments, and develops treatment plans in collaboration with the team. Prescribes medications, including controlled substances with required licensing and certifications. Performs patient observations, monitors progress, and manages medical records according to legal and institutional standards. Works independently within scope, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, HIPAA, and ethical standards. Must be licensed in Indiana, with experience in mental health preferred, and possess necessary certifications such as BLS, DEA, and X-waiver.
