Work hours are adaptable for your schedule or practice. Candidates should reside within 50 miles of the job location; exceptions may apply for Montana and Oregon.
Compensation ranges from $85 to $400 per exam type. Nurse Practitioners must have their own office at a commercial location, not home-based. Must carry personal malpractice insurance and commercial liability insurance for the practice location. A collaborative agreement may be required by your state. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience needed.
Responsibilities include performing Compensation and Pension Exams, reviewing digital medical records, conducting physical assessments based on disability claims, and submitting exam information online for VA review. Exams are held at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access. Availability of 1-3 days per week is required, with flexible scheduling if you have your own practice.
Qualifications include being a board-certified Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner (1099), with at least 1 year of NP experience or prior VA work preferred. Ideal candidates have experience with Veteran or disability exams and may have prior VA employment or Veteran relationships.
Design your own schedule, including weekends, with a minimum of 3-7 days per month preferred.
