Job Description

Join our healthcare team as an ObGyn Hospitalist Physician working 10-hour night shifts from 9 pm to 7 am, with a minimum of 3 shifts per month and options for more. This 1099 position requires physicians to carry their own malpractice and tail insurance (limits of 200/600 per occurrence). It is ideal for those wishing to reduce private OB coverage or focus on clinic work without abandoning OB practice entirely. Negotiations are open for a full-time hospitalist role with more shifts and included malpractice coverage.

The facility handles nearly 100 deliveries monthly, with a Level 2 nursery and transfer options available for high-risk or pre-32-week patients. Responsibilities include managing L&D and postpartum patients, triage, responding to ED or floor consults, considering transfers, and handling discharge procedures using Epic EMR. Surgical assistance is available for procedures like C-sections and ectopic pregnancies.

Requirements include an MD from an accredited institution, board certification or eligibility in ObGyn, valid Texas medical license, and inpatient OB experience. Compensation ranges from $190 to $235 per hour, with flexible scheduling. The work is performed in person.
