Supporting outpatient pediatric care for the Naval community in Chesapeake, VA, this part-time, weekend coverage role offers a competitive hourly rate.
Provide comprehensive care for patients under 18, including well-child exams, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Diagnose and treat pediatric issues such as ADHD, developmental delays, and emotional concerns, while educating families on wellness and disease prevention. Order, interpret diagnostics, and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Support the Family Advocacy Program and supervise medical staff, including residents and support personnel. Accurately document care using electronic health records and participate in training, quality improvement, and risk management activities. **Qualifications:** MD or DO from an accredited school, Board Certification in Pediatrics, unrestricted medical license, BLS and PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of pediatric experience within the last 2 years. Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
