Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Orthopedic Total Joint

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated *Physician Assistant (PA-C)/Nurse Practitioner* to join our orthopedic team specializing in total joint replacement (hip and knee).

Conduct preoperative evaluations and optimize patient health

Assist in surgeries for total hip and knee replacements

Perform inpatient rounding, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up

Manage outpatient clinic visits, including new patient assessments and routine follow-ups

Educate patients on procedures, recovery, and medications

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications and therapies

Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives

Maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR

Qualifications: Current licensure, NCCPA or board certification, DEA registration, orthopedic experience preferred, BLS/ACLS, strong communication and teamwork skills.

Details: Full-time position in Bakersfield, CA, with relocation required. Compensation ranges from $105,000 to $180,000 annually, with benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and more.
