Job Description

We are seeking a motivated *Physician Assistant (PA-C)/Nurse Practitioner* to join our orthopedic team specializing in total joint replacement (hip and knee).

  • Conduct preoperative evaluations and optimize patient health for joint surgeries
  • Assist in the operating room during total hip and knee replacements
  • Perform inpatient rounds, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up
  • Manage outpatient clinic visits, including new patient assessments and routine follow-ups
  • Provide patient education on procedures, recovery, and rehabilitation
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and physical therapy
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR

  • Qualifications include current licensure, NCCPA or board certification, DEA registration, and preferred orthopedic experience. Must have BLS/ACLS certification. The role requires in-person work in Bakersfield, CA, with relocation before starting.
