Job Description

We are seeking a motivated *Physician Assistant (PA-C)/Nurse Practitioner* to join our orthopedic team specializing in total joint replacement (hip and knee).

  • Conduct preoperative evaluations and optimize patient health for joint surgeries
  • Assist in the operating room during hip and knee replacements
  • Perform inpatient rounding, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up
  • Manage outpatient clinics for new and follow-up patients
  • Educate patients on procedures, recovery, and medications
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and physical therapy
  • Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR

    • Qualifications include current licensure, NCCPA or board certification, DEA registration, and preferred orthopedic experience. BLS/ACLS certification and strong communication skills are required.

    This full-time role offers a salary range of $105,000-$180,000 annually, with benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and flexible scheduling. The position is based in Bakersfield, CA, requiring relocation before start date. The work is in person.
