Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings for chronic, pressure, surgical, and complex wounds. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, NP licensure, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of NP, PA, MD, or DO experience is needed. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility, and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Key duties include wound assessment, treatment, supervision, documentation, team communication, and adherence to safety protocols.
Works independently in varied environments, demonstrating strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Position involves travel, exposure to biohazards, and requires flexibility and professionalism.
