Job Description

The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.

Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, patient and caregiver education, and collaboration with healthcare teams to promote healing.

Qualifications: Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, valid MD/DO license, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and current active patient contact preferred.

Job Factors: Physical effort involved, including lifting and mobility tasks; requires good sensory abilities and adherence to safety protocols. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel approximately 25%.

Essential Functions: Conducts wound assessments, administers treatments, supervises staff, maintains documentation, coordinates care, and ensures compliance with policies. Demonstrates advanced wound care knowledge, strong assessment skills, and excellent communication.
