Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
They deliver specialized wound care to patients in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, performing assessments, developing care plans, and educating patients and caregivers.
Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active MD/DO licensure, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Physical demands involve extensive mobility, lifting, and exposure to environmental changes. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid immunizations.
Key responsibilities encompass wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare teams, ensuring compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
