Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, focusing on chronic, pressure, surgical, and complex wounds. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, valid licensure, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NP, PA, MD, or DO, with active patient contact preferred. Must meet physical and mental requirements, including mobility, adaptability, and emotional stability, and possess reliable transportation. Travel (~25%) to patient sites, with exposure to biohazards, following safety protocols. Key duties include wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, and coordination with care teams.
