Physician – Obstetrics

Job Description

The staff Obstetrics physician provides outpatient care, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, performing procedures, and referring to specialists as needed.

Responsibilities include managing approximately 20 patients daily, handling walk-ins, and taking after-hours calls (telephone only).

Key duties involve supporting organizational values, delivering patient-centered care per ACOG guidelines, documenting thoroughly, and providing education.

Qualifications include an MD/DO, valid California license, board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN, and post-residency experience. Preferred candidates have 2+ years of ambulatory experience, familiarity with the Patient-Centered Medical Home model, and medical Spanish skills.

Essential skills encompass strong communication, computer proficiency, leadership, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to policies. The role requires flexibility to work at multiple sites, evenings, weekends, and participate in quality activities.
