Physician – Obstetrics

Job Description

The staff Obstetrics physician provides outpatient care, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, ordering tests, performing procedures, and referring to specialists as needed.

They manage approximately 20 patients daily, including walk-ins, and handle after-hours calls via phone only, with a rotation schedule of about one week every 7-8 weeks.

Responsibilities include supporting organizational values, documenting patient histories, developing treatment plans aligned with ACOG guidelines, and ensuring professional conduct.

Qualifications require an MD or DO, OB/GYN certification, valid state license, and residency completion. Preferred candidates have ambulatory experience, medical Spanish skills, and familiarity with patient-centered care. Skills include excellent communication, leadership, cultural sensitivity, and proficiency in EMR and office technologies.

Additional duties encompass participating in meetings, peer reviews, quality initiatives, supervising staff, and working flexibly across sites and hours to meet patient needs.
