Physician – Obstetrics

Job Description

The staff Obstetrics physician provides outpatient care for acute and chronic conditions, diagnoses, orders tests, and performs procedures within scope and protocols.

They see approximately 20 patients daily, manage walk-ins, and handle afterhours calls by phone, with a rotation of about one week every 7-8 weeks.

Responsibilities include supporting organizational values, prioritizing workload, delivering professional patient care, documenting thoroughly, developing treatment plans, and following ACOG guidelines.

They supervise NP/PAs, participate in peer reviews, meetings, and committees, and ensure timely EMR documentation.

Qualifications include MD/DO, valid California license, Board certification or eligibility, residency in OB/GYN, and preferred ambulatory experience and Spanish skills.

Must demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and cultural sensitivity, with proficiency in electronic records and compliance standards.
