Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate *Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)* to provide mental health care in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.

  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments.
  • Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions like depression, anxiety, and dementia-related behaviors.
  • Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications.
  • Coordinate referrals for therapy and supportive services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Educate staff and caregivers on behavioral health practices.

    • Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP certification, current licensure, and experience in geriatric psychiatry preferred.

    Skills required are strong diagnostic, communication, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
