Seeking Psychiatrists for employment in El Paso, Texas, within a detention facility requiring a broad clinical skill set.
Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and urgent mental health care, with a focus on family, gender-specific, and pregnant patients, adhering to detention standards.
Requirements:
MD or DO from accredited U.S. or equivalent foreign school; board eligibility in psychiatry; minimum one-year practice experience.
State medical license; BLS certification; eligible for ABPN certification.
Strong communication, cultural competency, and critical thinking skills; proficiency in English; Spanish preferred.
Major duties:
Provide direct and telepsychiatry care, medication management, psychotherapy, and emergency response.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensure documentation and compliance, and participate in quality improvement.
Work in a 24/7 environment with on-call responsibilities.
Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting. Citizenship or legal work authorization required.
