Recreation Therapist – CTRS – Full Time

Join our growing team at a psychiatric care facility in Detroit, MI, dedicated to providing compassionate treatment for adults 18+ with acute psychiatric conditions.

The Recreation Therapist (CTRS) will deliver assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activities, and discharge leisure planning to improve clients’ cognitive, physical, social, and psychosocial functioning.

• Utilize individual and group interventions to develop coping skills, stress/anger management, and promote positive leisure pursuits.
• Provide leisure resources to support post-discharge planning.
• Follow current standards of practice in service delivery.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation, NCTRC certification, and preferably psychiatric experience. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
