Recreation Therapist – CTRS – Full Time

Job Description

Join our growing team at a psychiatric care facility in Detroit, Michigan, dedicated to providing compassionate treatment for adults 18+ with acute psychiatric conditions.

The Recreation Therapist (CTRS) will deliver assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activities, and discharge leisure planning to improve clients’ cognitive, physical, social, and psychosocial functioning.

• Develop healthy coping, stress management, and self-awareness strategies.
• Provide leisure resources for post-discharge planning.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation, NCTRC certification, and preferred psychiatric experience. Entry-level applicants are welcome, with a 5-day orientation process.
