Job Description

The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager supports operational oversight of designated nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.

Assists in staff recruitment, retention strategies, and implementing policies to ensure quality care.

Helps manage staffing, resources, and budget processes; promotes shared leadership.

Provides leadership in maintaining standards of care, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.

Practices autonomously within the scope of nursing standards, fostering collaborative, evidence-based care.

Participates in quality initiatives, data analysis, and policy development.

Requirements include an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, BLS certification, with additional certifications as needed. Supervisory experience and clinical expertise are preferred; leadership experience in other fields may be considered. The role involves evening shifts, rotating weekends, and no travel. Location: Holston Valley Medical Center.
