The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager supports operational supervision of designated nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.

Assists with staff recruitment, retention strategies, and implements leadership initiatives.

Ensures nursing practice aligns with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Manages staffing and resources to deliver optimal patient care based on acuity.

Participates in budgeting, resource utilization, and supports shared leadership.

Provides clinical guidance, fosters evidence-based practice, and promotes quality improvement efforts.

May serve as acting staff RN in the absence of a RN manager.

Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and relevant clinical experience. Preferred bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience.

Position involves evening shifts, rotating weekends, and no travel, based at Holston Valley Medical Center.
