Job Description
The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager supports operational leadership for designated nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.
Assists with staff hiring, retention strategies, and promotes a shared leadership model. Participates in budget creation and manages resources to ensure optimal patient care based on acuity. Ensures compliance with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, and supports quality improvement initiatives. Provides clinical guidance, collaborates with educators, and promotes evidence-based practice. In absence of a RN, may function as staff nurse, practicing within professional standards and scope of practice. Requires valid RN licensure, BLS certification, and relevant area certifications; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two years of clinical experience and supervisory experience preferred; associate degree required, with a plan to obtain a Bachelor’s within three years. Shift: Evening; Rotating weekends; No travel required. Location: Holston Valley Medical Center.
