Job Description

The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates with the Nurse Manager to oversee nursing departments, ensuring quality patient care and staff retention.

  • Provides operational supervision, staffing management, and participates in budget planning.
  • Helps maintain compliance with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports shared leadership and may serve as acting staff RN in absence.
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives and promotes evidence-based practice.
  • Practices autonomously within scope, demonstrating critical thinking and cultural sensitivity.
  • Requires an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, and relevant clinical experience.
  • Shift is evening, with rotating weekends; no travel required.
  • Position based at Holston Valley Medical Center.
