Job Description
The RN – Nurse Manager, MSN/MBA oversees 24-hour operations of a clinical department, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
They define and achieve standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while managing staffing, performance, and budget.
The role involves applying advanced nursing and management knowledge to improve clinical outcomes, promote innovation, and enhance team performance.
The Nurse Manager fosters shared leadership, encourages unit-based improvement initiatives, and participates in organizational committees.
They may serve as a staff RN when needed, demonstrating critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred), RN licensure, and relevant clinical and supervisory experience. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required based on the area.
Work is primarily during day shifts at Johnson City Medical Center.
