Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families and healthcare team members, and maintains documentation in medical records.

Essential duties include evaluating patients within one business day of referral, developing treatment plans for physician approval, supervising assistants, and documenting progress. The SLP teaches families and staff, participates in meetings and training, and assists in discharge planning.

Supervisory responsibilities include guiding CFY/Speech Fellows and aiding nursing staff training.

Qualifications require a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, licensure in the state, and proficiency in relevant computer programs. Physical demands involve frequent standing, walking, and communication, with a moderate work environment. The role may involve duty reassignment and is subject to change.
