Job Description
The school speech/language pathologist conducts assessments, diagnoses, and provides therapy for students with communication disabilities at one or more school sites.
Services include consultation, intervention support, evaluations, professional development, and contributing to school improvement activities.
They participate in MTSS/RtI, assist in determining student eligibility, develop IEPs, and deliver evidence-based speech/language therapy while considering cultural and assistive technology needs.
Responsibilities also involve documentation, collaboration with educators and families, and adherence to federal and state laws such as FERPA, IDEA, NAC, and Section 504.
Qualifications include a relevant degree, licensure, and preferably certification from the Nevada Board of Examiners for Audiology and Speech Pathology.
Position can be full-time or part-time, with compensation starting at $71/hour, and work is primarily in person.
